It's an open-celled, body-heat and body-weight sensitive material originally designed to relieve the pressure of G-forces experienced by astronauts in flight.

WILL THIS "BODY MOLDING" MAKE ME PERSPIRE?
No, not with Carpenter Company's Isotonic and Structure Memory Foam products. The open celled structure is self-ventilating, so it actually dissipates heat. And Carpenter is the only manufacturer to add a special comfort layer of poly fiber that wicks away moisture, as well.

WHAT CAUSES THE SCENT OF "NEWNESS"?
